Best color and cut – I?ve been coming here a few years now and seeing Ashley. She is definitely my favorite hairdresser I?ve had over the years. She gives advice and feedback on things I?m considering, but doesn?t push her own agenda. I get highlights done, but am pretty low maintenance about hair, and don?t have the time or money to get touched up as often as recommended. Best salon in the city! – This is one of the nicest salons in the city. Its absolutely beautiful and very clean throughout. I saw Carolyn who did a fantastic job and gave me a beautiful haircut - very fresh looking and something that really suits my face. I never would have thought to have it cut this way so I'm glad she was able to think of that. The whole staff was really very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back!
This is the ultimate luxury salon in the city. – I've been here 3 times to get my hair cut and i've always gotten compliments on my hair-dos by family, friends, and strangers on the street! At first it is quite intimating b/c the cosmetics of the salon seem to only cater to "high-end clients", but the staff makes you feel comfortable. Exceptional, Affordable, Very Personal Care - Blew Me Away! – The people here treated me with warmth like I was already a long-time client. Come appointment time, I walked into the most beautiful salon I've ever seen. I worked with a junior stylist, Carolyn, who answered question after question, gave me cost- and time-effective tips and taught me what good hair care and smart styling was all about. Love Salon Thalia – Just wanted to say how happy I am with this salon. It's clean, friendly, trendy without being obnoxtious and I always feel like a million bucks when I walk out of there. Now that they have a nail person, I can get my nails done here too plus they have really cute stuff for sale up front, like shirts and hair things. I see Carolyn for my hair, Memories for waxing but I think that everyone is probably really good there.
Setting the record straight! – In response to the previous review, were you having a bad day? PMS maybe? Or are you just not happy with yourself??? I have been going to Michael and Salon Thalia for the past 4 years, and I have never experienced anything but the best from each and every staff member. Wonderful – I have been seeing Ashley for three years now for highlights and have always been happy leaving the salon. She does a wonderful job, is always willing to spend extra time to alter anything, and is fun to be around. The salon itself is beautiful. I have absolutely no negatives about this salon at all and think that it would be a mistake to go anywhere else.
Ugh!!! another overpriced stylist!!! – This salon is nice, the staff is freindly, but michael needs to stop cutting hair. Or at least just stop taking new clients and just work on the old biddies that are happy with the same old outdated hair. I went to him for the first time and he didnt listen to a word i said and instead gave me some generic layered cut. how boring. oh and thanks for cutting my bangs straigt across without asking, i look like i am five.

The entire staff at Salon Thalia is so taken aback by your caustic review. It's almost impossible not to take this personal because you have insulted our loyal and supportive clients. In regards to feeling "generic" and "outdated", it is customary for Michael to always make sure he asks his clients if he has met their expectations. If you would have kindly brought your dissatifaction to his attention, he would have either offered you a cut adjust with himself or another stylist, or comped the service entirely. AMAZING! – Carter, one of the hairstylists at Salon Thalia, gave me the best hair cut in my life! I don't have a lot of time to deal with my hair and I, therefore, like keeping it short. However, it always ends up poofing if it's not cut right. I walked in to Salon Thalia for the first time, asking Carter to cut my hair to around chin length with the only criteria that it won't poof.
