My wife went in for an MRI today and was told that prior to receiving treatment she must make a "good faith payment" of almost 300.00. This is even though we have very good insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. When I called and asked their representative she first said the payment was requested, then she said it was required. I have never experienced having to pay upfront before the insurance is even billed. I also find the "good faith payment" rather offensive, it implies that we do not intend to pay the bill.
