Wonderful tour and loved seeing the animals roam, instead of being in tiny cages. Learned so much, and our tour guide was amazing. If you eat at their buffet, it's pretty tasty. Definitely would recomend doing this in a warmer season, but if you do go in the winter time, wear warm clothes.
That's too bad that there isn't a zero rate. Don't ever book any trip there unless you want to be robbed. I cancelled the overnight reservation, the tour and dinner within hours after making the reservation. Safari West is a shark and heavily practicing bait and switch along with Travel Zoo. In hours they took me to hell and back and caused me lots of distress. To add insult to the injury they have the nerve to charge me $20.00 dollars, which I'm already disputing. We went to SAFARI WEST on a cold Saturday in January. We were bundled up but they provided warm blankets for us. We did the walking part of the tour first and our guide, Jeff, was outstanding! The info he shared with us on the animals and on conservation was so incredible. He spoke so the younger ones in the group could understand as well as keep older people engaged, too. Great experience! Beautiful animals, great knowledgeable and friendly staff. My nephew and I went at years end. Very cold night but lovely days! Would go again but closer to summer.
Africa in Northern California! The Dodge vintage Power-Wagon cruise around the beautiful park with exotic animals running free is truly spectacular!
