The barbecue was really good and there was plenty of food, the tour was quite fun and really interesting both were worth the cost. The overnight tents were very nice, clean and comfortable but pretty pricey and you better bring along some cards or games as there is no television or Internet. I think they could offer a better deal if you participate in all that they offer. It cost us over $600 for three of us for just one night.
We were here ~10 years ago with another grandchild. It's still a fabulous place to see animals, stay at their fun "glamping" tent and tasty BBQ dinner. Not cheap, but worth it!
My sister took me for my birthday. I loved it! Had a great time. The hardest thing for me was not being able to touch the animals. I absolutely love animals!! The rhino zebras and giraffes were my favorites. I recommend everyone should go at least once
This was such an awesome experience for my mom, my daughter, and I! We had so much fun and the staff was great. The tours are amazing!
Educational. Even this forty something learned something new. I've lived by Safari West for over a decade and finally had the opportunity to visit. Well worth it.
This is sure to be a annual trip for us. We were there for two nights and I honestly think that the rain made the experience even more authentic. The tents are perfectly kept warm by the space heater so we did not need to use the electric blankets. I brought up snacks for us to nibble on between meals at the Savanah Dinner plate but we were so full the entire time that we didn't even touch them. This was such an amazing experience. I took my son on his Spring Break and he loved it. It was pouring rain during our jeep tour that just added to the ambiance!! Our tour guide Lindsey was great! I definitely will come again and stay the night!
