Sacred Heart literally saved my life. I don't know all of the individuals involved, but I hope to meet you and thank you for giving my heart(and self) a second chance.
This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. Sure, it looks nice, but the level of care is poor at best. My fiance had gall bladder surgery at 12pm yesterday, and not one.followup visit from a doctor since. We were supposed to be released yesterday, but are still here, with no attention from anyone. Money gougers. Advice, go to Baptist, where they actually care.
Having worked at Sacred Heart for 5 years I have always felt that the staff and physicians were wonderful. Now, having been on the other side as a patient, I honestly believe that the staff and physicians are some of the most elite in their profession! I am truly blessed to be a part of this organization.
What is the point of scheduling an appointment anymore? It seems this place is always running behind. The average wait time today is 2 hours. You can be sure if you're late to your appointment it will be rescheduled, but if they are running behind and can't see you until 2 hours past your appointment time, that's ok! Nevermind the fact that I scheduled this appointment a month ago! The patient/staff relationships here are not positive at all.
On July 1st my dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer at Sacred Heart in Pensacola. His "Doctor" came in and said to him and his wife, my mom, "Looks like stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, we'll set up some chemo treatments". He left promptly after that. Two weeks prior to diagnosis, he went in an ambulance with stomach pain. They checked his heart, told him it was good, and sent him home. My father passed away two days ago. Excellent care & true concern from all our paths crossed while at your hospital. Everyone is so nice & friendly & it truly eased quite a bit of tension we felt during & after my elderly mother's operation & recovery. Wish all hospitals could follow your lead. Sacred Heart Health System is an amazing place to both work and receive care!! I am an associate, as well as a patient, and I can say that my managers and my doctors have given me the utmost compassion, caring, understanding, and patience!! This is truly a great hospital!
Do not use Dr. Stuart Harlin from Coastal Vascular if there is a problem after surgery you will not see him. I can only hope one day he will feel the frustration I feel regarding my love one. He is a true non caring individual!
