Holy Family really needs to take a good look at their E.R doctors. Horrible bedside manners, rude, uncaring. 17 yr old daughter here with severe abdominal pain, the PA-C came in, raised voice....had my daughter in tears.just a nasty man that should not be allowed to even practice. Weven will never come here again!
The absolute slowest ER I have ever been to, and nobody can seem to help. I will never use this hospital ever again.
Everything about this hospital is terrific. Until you're there for patient pick up. In the loop at the front entrance, the valet crew has placed cones to help reserve curbside parking for valet parked cars. But instead of using them, they park in the patient loading zone. I squeezed in to wait for a patient and was asked by the valet to move my vehicle. The surgical team took wonderful care of me during my procedure. I don't think I've ever experienced a more genuinely caring team - from the doctor, nurses, and anesthesiologist to the volunteers and aides. Thank you all!
This is our third visit to SHMC with my mom since December. All 3 through the ER. First visit 2+ hours wait room, 4 hrs exam room, up to room 2 hrs if admit before allowed to rest. Second visit, 3+ hrs wait room, 3+ hrs exam room then home. Tonight 31/2 hrs wait room, 5+ hrs exam room, another hr wait for transport, got to room, another hour and oopse wrong floor, another 1 1/2 hrs wait for transport. Dr. Recommended my daughter visit ER due to risk of cardiac event. We arrived at 12:20pm. At 3:30 pm I checked to see where she was on the list. Was advised that due to high ER volume she had been bumped down on the list. I asked if a doctor had reviewed her labs and EKG and wad told that they could send that back now if I wanted. I became A LITTLE frustrated, which I am sure showed and asked why it had not been sent back before this. A male in scrubs behind the counter told me to calm down and be quiet. From arrival with front entrance Valet parking, to Surgery, through recovery time, your staff was always kind, thoughtful and helpful through out the hospital. One staff member in the elevator, got out and walked me clear around and down a long hall to help me find the coffee stand! Totally above and beyond. We want to thank each and every one who helped in our family trauma for your hard work, your kind words of encouragement and your dedication to serving people with such quality of care.
