I have been eating at Ruth's Chris Steak house in Portland, Oregon since it opened about 20 years ago. In fact I was at the soft opening, before they actually opened. I have never had a bad meal here. My husband and I have a tradition of eating out and seeing a movie on Christmas Day. The last 3 years we have gone to Ruth's Chris. Highly recommend for a special night out.
We enjoy nearly all our dinners at Ruth's Christmas Eve Amanda was our server and Joel was serving our drinks. They were really busy and still provided their personal touch. We had a fantastic evening.
While the steak was phenomenal, we waited 30 minutes to be sat, despite having a reservation, and ended being sat in the bar. A 7:30pm reservation....and did not have food served until 9pm. No apology. We were celebrating a 40th birthday, and the restaurant was aware. They did put confetti on the table and a coupon for a free appetizer. For the reputation and price, it should have been a better experience. I think we will go to Morton's next time.
We took our daughter for her 18th birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was the best we've ever had and the service was top notch!
Had a great time. Raul made our evening wonderful!
