Wonderful food and service
The service was excellent
My Aunt, am African American Woman was denied entrance /service due to her “attire”. She was dressed casually in a blouse and slacks. However a White Man and his group were allowed to enter despite him wearing shorts and one of his guest being in a halter top. So it seems like this was racially motivated. If you decide to patronize this establishment you are ok with this disgusting display of customer service. I look forward to never eating at this Ruth Chris or any others.

I’ve been there at lease six times and my attire has never been an issue. My first stop when I land in Columbia, after two days of traveling from a war zone is Ruth Chris. I made reservation for the first time because I invited my pastor, unfortunately he couldn’t make and wants to reschedule because he’s never been. I was looking a gentleman wearing grey short but it was okay for him to be seated in the dining area. But I couldn’t be seated in the dinning area. They just threw a friend of mine ( african american ) out of the restaurant for “Not being properly dressed” whereas another WHITE guy entered wearing shorts. Sad to hear that This restaurant is a RACIST place. 🥵🥵
The food was awesome. The service wasn’t bad but it took a while to get our food. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend is because of the gnats and flies that were flying over our food while eating. I know it may be hard to maintain gnats but with an expensive menu like this, it’s annoying waving your hand over your food every few minutes. However, the food can’t be denied and our waitress was very nice.
