Dark, cozy, elegant and intimate, Russian Tea Time has only been here since 1993, however it has since become a Chicago treasure. Inside the elegant Mahogany and Birch dining room, the kitchen serves specialties from the former Soviet republics which includes every where from Tajikistan to Belarus. After years of passing by this restaurant, I ate lunch there this week. The blinchikis and the honey cake had great subtle flavors. The tea is the best tasting I've had in years. The romantic in me loved the Russian music
Everything is amazing. Great service too.
I attended their 25th Anniversary party here in March and the food was amazing. There was a great beet dish (and borscht too), a pesto-like dill spread, smoked salmon, and many more surprising and delicious foods. And there were 7 different vodkas. You gotta try this.
Every thing I ate was great. Highly recommend.
