On my first visit as I tried to inform Dr Cohen about a back issue that could impact THR success as well as positioning during surgery. He said “YOU ARE HERE FOR YOUR HIP”. I should have immediately RAN out of that office. Had “Outpatient” surgery hat resulted in SIX days in hospital (due to complications). First saw Dr Cohen on day six. Walked in and IMMEDIATELY said “I have never had anyone in hospital for SIX days. I immediately asked to be discharged. Dr. Cohen replaced my left knee on Sept 5th, it was a TKP. My surgery went well, I was home the same day. I am three weeks post surgery. I was walking without crutches the third day. I am driving and doing extremely well in PT. I was told that I am 30 days ahead of where I should be. I am practically at my 120 degree angle. Dr. Cohen replaced both of my knees and he is an amazing surgeon. He's also extremely thoughtful in how he relates to and cares for his patients before, during and after surgery. I'm 4 days post replacement and already moving at 90 degree angle and feeling strong.
