A little ways outside Charlotte in the city of Huntersville sits Rural Hill, a 265 acre homestead with pastoral views and farm animals to enjoy. The farm has historical significance for the Scots and and Scots-Irish, which makes it a prime location for the annual Scottish Highland Games Festival. This is a beautiful place to escape the city life of Charlotte.

Went to Rural Hill this past weekend for the NC Brewers & Music Festival (2nd year going). Had a great time again. Can’t wait to be back next year. The camping area was great and we all had a fantastic time. The only mention from me is this; Not sure if it’s a festival or venue issue, but during the festival it would be nice to have a water station in the middle of the brewery tent area, that way we don’t have to walk all the way back to the food area during the tasting session especially when the temperatures are high.
The 25th highland games were amazing. The historical camp was engaging and had so many things to learn. Can't wait till next year!
I love going to Loch Norman and learning about my heritage, eating authentic Scottish Foods, listening to the pipe band and all the other awesomeness that is included.
I loved the place very much, and my goddaughter wedding was beautiful.
