The farm has historical significance for the Scots and and Scots-Irish, which makes it a prime location for the annual Scottish Highland Games Festival. This is a beautiful place to escape the city life of Charlotte.

Traffic management was an absolute joke! I sat in traffic for 2 hours!!! Then the person directing traffic didn't know if I was coming or going because they were sending all the traffic the same way, which explains why everything was so backed up. I will not be returning and I will recommend that others don't go there either. It was absolutely ridiculous!!

beautiful, love the old structure and history
Based on how they respond to folks on this page and also based on a post from her personal page by the same lady who I assume runs this page: they do not seem to grasp the importance of maintaining a professional image. Why would I utilize their venue for any event?
It was clean, lots of space & good music! They need more areas for the food and drinks w/the amount of people there. They shouldn't have beer tickets because they ran out of draft beer. Better to have seperate cash & credit card pay at the food & drink areas.
Organizers of Hops & Hogs Fest are aware of opportunities, traffic control, shortage of beer, inadequate lighting, but overall it was a great success, especially the performers, good food, friendly staff and very adequate parking. Hi look forward to next year. I just hope it is not scheduled the same weekend as the Great American Beerfest in Denver.
2019 Hops and Hogs was an epic failure.. just like 2018...
Nice venue. Hopefully will have a Hops and Hogs festival there next year!
