The idea of the Rundown cafe was born in 1993 from tropical travel adventures and a love for the fresh exciting foods of the Islands."Rundown" is the name of a coconut milk, fish chowder so named "Because Mon it run down so good." Been coming here for years. Never was disappointed with my meal or the service.
We had an excellent experience at Rundown Cafe! Our server, Page, was just wonderful.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, our favorite restaurant on the outer banks.
Love this place! It's always the first place we stop when visiting the OBX. We usually grab lunch while we wait for our rental property to be available for check-in. Nice casual beach themed interior and the food is great. I always get the Oriental Sesame Noodle Bowl with the Humbolt Calamari tips. SO good!!! They have plenty of other tasty options on the menu as well. Highly recommend The Rundown if you are looking for something beyond just burgers or hotdogs, but still wanna keep it casual.
A very short wait, great atmosphere, the best food I had all week, and awesome service!
It's an absolute, bonifide, 100% place......I will be at once every 365 days god willing lol. Food is original......dont be hesitant....to all my "first timer virgins" out there lol!!!!
