Awesome food, service and drinks. Ive tried a lot of different menu items and theyre all great.
Royal Mile is my favorite discovery in Des Moines. I originally went in because I saw an article about their fish and chips in Juice but it is so much better than that. British food, an extensive four page long beer list and a unique and comfortable ambiance round the place out. The staff is also pretty fantastic. If you only eat one thing there, make it the poutine.
I haven't eaten upstairs in years although I've been on the lower level often. Upstairs is fun - the ambiance is completely different than the lower level but just as fun. Also, the kitchen is upstairs, so you get to marvel at the waitresses carrying heavy trays down the long stairway. I like the pot pie. Unlike mine when I make it at he, theirs is served in a thick pasty - it's unlike anything I've had anywhere else and oh so good. The brunch is 5 stars, too. Great place since '01.

Went for drinks. Service & selection are beyond excellent. Definitely need to return to sample the food.

Best bar in Des Moines hands down! Wonderful selection and great staff... been a customer for well over a year and no matter what I'll always come back!
Nice atmosphere with lots of good beers and food. Great place to watch soccer or just hang out.
