WORST STAFF EVER! – I have NEVER experienced such discourtesy from a restaurant in my life..the whole entire staff is RUDE and unintelligent..the bar tender Tommy was extremely sexist and basically told me and my 2 women friends that we needed to leave. The original waiter when I asked where the drink menu was said to me "right there..in front of your face". The manager Michelle looked like she was high on some type of drug and couldn't stop swaying from side to side during our conversation about how horrible our experience ... read more
Good Meal – I have been really wanting to try this place for some time. I was somewhat skeptical of going after reading some of the reviews. But I had a great burger...we are talking top five in my time. The frites were awesome (though Monk's are slightly better). The lobster spring rolls for the app was phenomenal. The service was alittle slow, the place was very loud and I don't know if the air conditioner is broke but inside it was very chaud. But this place is going for the food.
Romantic dinner – I love Rouge. Of course, my opinion could be biased because this was my first date with my boyfriend (one which he recreated for Valentine's Day). I have had exceptional food and wonderful service here. Yes it's loud (but really it makes it more intimate to get closer to your date or friends) but I think they have improved that over time. The food has always been good (ok the creme brulee was a little watery but the top was perfection and it was a busy Valentine's day weekend. Rouge always evokes this old H... read more
TOP NOTCH FRENCH FRIES – ORDERED THE CHEESEBURGER BECAUSE OF ALL THE REVIEWS. DECENT BUT DID NOT KNOCK ME OUT. THE FRIES ON THE OTHER HAND WERE FANTASTIC. TOP 3 I HAVE EVER HAD. ALSO THE LOCATION IS PERFECT. LOCATED ACROSS FROM RITTENHOUSE SQUARE. SERVICE EXCELLENT. WELL WORTH YOUR TIME.
People Watching at it Best with Good Food – Oh boy this is another fun place to people watch and mingle. Staff is super nice. Burgers are good too. Chef is pretty cool. Owner is on site too.
Great Location, Good Food, Horrible Service! – Been there twice. First experience was ok. We got an outside seat, which was nice, and ordered tuna tartar, a salad and two mimosas. It took forever for our food to arrive and the server barely checked up on us. I suppose the second time doesn't really count since the hostess said she would call us when our table was ready and NEVER DID! We ended up going to Brasserie Perrier and had a far more enjoyable meal.
Inconsistent – In all fairness, I've eaten Rouge a few times. The first time it was fine. The second time, we were placed at a less desirable table near the alley way. We got there early for lunch. We asked if we could sit outside. There were seven open tables in the front. But they told us we couldn't have one of those tables and they took us to the one on the very end. Two minutes later, all of the open tables were seated! Well, we were forgotten about many times when it came to food running, glass refilling. We noticed ev... read more
Great Location - Good Lunch – Though we had to wait awhile for a table (there were a good number of people waiting as well), it was a Saturday afternoon so it was expected. Located directly across from the park, it should have been a great view but unfortunately our first table was so close to the street, we just kept watching cars buzz by us. We were able to move to a table on the opposite side of the sidewalk which was much better. Sandwiches and the wine choices were very good - though the wine was SUPER expensive. Servic... read more
Golly Staff and delightfuly tasting food – The wait staff was helpful and cheery from the time we opened the door. They don't take reservations, but we only had to wait a half hour for a table of four. They took my cell phone number to allow us to promenade around the park until our table was ready. The burgers looked great, but I was in the feeling for tuna. The dish was perfectly done, only complaint being portions could have been a little bit larger. But, if you get the burger, prepare to be stuffed, as my friends were.
