Worst company to deal with , wish there is 0 star they rip me off $1000 for 20 minutes basement overflow work and never give the details , return any calls or provide a good reason, they suppose to do a follow up to scan for more issue around the main sewer line and told tech will be coming from 8 -12 pm no one showed up or care answer calls and finally the tech Pick-up the phone , never apologize simply said he will come tomorrow between 8-12 second day never showed up. Roto-Rooter does not follow their 24hr emergency promise. We waited 5hrs and was never serviced. They call us after waiting 5 hrs and talking to two other people and told us they were booked for the day. No apologies or restoration for time lost.

Charged us $500 and did not fix the problem, told us several things that needed to be done in order to fix it... wanted more money to do some extensive work. Called a different company and they came right away and fixed our problem for $200. I do not recommend Roto Rooter. I think they are squeezing every dime they can out of their customers, whether the work is actually needed or not.

My 75-year-old mother (who is currently living alone) called Roto Rooter to get a small cap out of a drain in a bathroom. She was quoted a $60 fee and was satisfied with that estimate so asked to also replace the drain stoppers in two sinks in the same bathroom. There were 2 employees on the job, they were in the home for an hour max and charged her $800! This is price-gouging, taking advantage of the elderly and grossly unacceptable.

Had extensive work done last month after roots started growing in my drain. I was recommended 3 patches be placed in my drain to prevent additional basement flooding. While working, the technician claimed I needed a new sewer clean out because he couldn't get the patching equipment into the old one, and so we had them put that in. They then jetted the line, clearing out any additional roots, and "installed" 3 patches, totalling out to 12 thousand dollars (not counting previous work clearing the drain and scoping it out). Horrible customer service and after-sales experience. My house first had a pipe blockage Roto Rooter sent an unprofessional technician who provided a wrong diagnosis, provoked my tenant to leave, double-charged the blockage clear up service, and as a result, led to another blockage and consequently a water overflow which cost us $38K total. Reported the issue to senior management but the technician was fired when I reported so they were like "this is none of our business as the employee is gone". Please do not use this company. They employ ghetto call center reps and all the company really care about is the pay out. Do not use them to detect a water leak. Their workers are not equipped to to find a leak. Be careful they will make holes in your walls. Please listen to my warning. All around bad service.

Called local roto rooter and was sent technician from Solon oh office...the problem was when we turned on the heat heat had been off with the few days of warmer weather in Ohio beginning of April) we smelled sewer and have a home on a slab....we couldn’t readily tell where it was coming from but turned off heater and called roto rooter-was given the 12-4 timeframe and no technician showed up-I called and said for them to come out the next day-the technician walked in and said “wow mam smells like u have a dead animal somewhe... read more

Nick was helpful and friendly and took his time to figure out the problem. Definitely would recommend to others.
