A wonderful hospital. Caring and compassionate nurses, doctors and staff. I wish the ER had some germ filtration system in place, either through the HVAC system or the “Germ Guardian” ultra violet lights. They need it badly to help cut down on the spread of germs in the waiting area. The ER is in need of an expansion. The demand has far exceeded the existing capacity and constraints of the current ER and it needs to be expanded/enlarged with additional staffing added.
Bon Secours St Francis Hospital west of the Ashley is the best hospital in Charleston. It’s seeing so many patients now that they definitely need to expand the ER and add additional staff. Had an absolutely amazing experience at this hospital. Went into the ER on a Friday night and was checked in, in a room, and talking to the doctor & nurses within minutes. Ended up needing emergency surgery and was kept overnight so I was cared for by several different people. Everyone was so kind and cared for my family and I so well. So genuine. So compassionate. So understanding. So so helpful.
very nice staff, very helpful for parking
