Dr. Hugate performed corrective surgery on my right hip after a different surgeon fractured my femur during a Total Hip Replacement surgery. Dr Hugate works with a team. My first visit with him included a nurse, a student, a physicians assistant me and my husband. He was completely focused on his patient and the issue. He is a well known doctor is his field and students want to work with him to observe his methods. He is warm and caring. Dr Hugate already had x rays and a ct scan of my shoulder. Dr. Hugate specializes in the hard cases, the ones requiring out of the box solutions. He's built a career out of preserving limbs. He has great bedside manner, as does his PA. I always feel they will hang out until all my concerns are answered.
Dr. Hugate and his care team team are incredible!! Seldom did I have to wait, and everything was thoroughly explained so that I could easily grasp the concepts. His experience in Afghanistan has heightened his awareness and skills far beyond other doctors in this field. He and his team are held in my highest regard, as well as the doctors who recommended him to me.
