My son move in The Woods at Ridgeway in Memphis Tn. I wrote him a check for February rent, a week later they told me they had to shred the check for whatever reason so I wrote another one and that one went threw. April 6 I went to the bank and they told me that the check they said was shredded was cash. They have been giving me the run around about my money. Just want my $444.79 back. the owners are ROCO REAL ESTATE.

We have reached out to Ms. Jeffries and apologized for the miscommunication. There was a new Regional Manager put into place at the property and when she found the envelope with the check that had not been deposited, she assumed it was because the check scanner had not been working and erroneously deposited the original check. A credit was made to Ms. Jeffries' son's account for the additional amount, but those funds were later allocated to outstanding charges for his utility bills. As a tenant at a Roco apartment in Shaker Heights, OH, I am totally disgusted with the attention paid to residents' concerns. For 3 weeks we had no elevator. Everyone was given a different reason as to cause/repair. No assistance was provided to tenants to empty garbage, help with groceries. From garage to 4th floor was 5 flights of stairs. Because management could not check Tenant Message Mailbox daily, it was removed! Garage not cleaned in 3 years. Said cost too high but it should not be $6,000 to sweep and hose down. We have spoken with property and understand that the elevator repair company did take a little longer than hoped to complete the repair as they were waiting on parts. We are happy to report that it is now up and running at full capacity. We have had not only the Property Manager, but also the Regional Manager walk the garages and can confidently report that they are clean and not in need of any additional services.
