In 1922, Giovanni and Virginia Biale left the town of Savona in Genoa, Italy with their three young sons, Giacomo, Mario and Rudolfo to make a new life in America. With help from a cousin, they made their way to San Francisco and settled in the Italian section of Potrero Hill. We've been going to this place for a long time, but than we moved from Walnut Creek so it's no longer convenient for us, but my 17 year old wanted to treat me to lunch the other day and this is where she picked to go. I was so excited because I used to take her here as a little girl. The staff was always so friendly with my kids, and we were taking my granddaughter to lunch with us. I was happy to see nothing had changed. The staff is fantastic and the food is oh so good. I will make the effort to come again soon.
Great food, lousy service! Some of the clothes they were wearing was nasty
2 stars was simply for the good food. 1 waitress for the entire restaurant! Had to get our own silverware, to go box and napkins. Bright side: only had ask for the check 4 times�
