Very professional and provided excellent care on my shoulder and bicep. Would recommend to all for any shoulder or bicep surgery.
I tore my meniscus in my right knee and was having swelling. I tried to ice it myself and attended some PT to see if it would heal on its own. I set up an appointment with Dr. Boykin and we discussed our options. After talking with him, I felt very confident that I had picked the right surgeon for me. I had surgery June 25th, 2019. Dr. Boykin diagnosed a shoulder issue I was having and got me back to normal in very short order. Support staff was outstanding as well. I would definitely recommend him
Dr. Boykin repaired a torn labrum in my right shoulder. Throughout every step of the process he and his whole team (Dr. Braun, Katie, and everyone else in the office) were wonderful. Everyone was down to earth, friendly, and incredibly helpful, especially in dealing with the hassles my insurance company was putting me through. Dr. Boykin did a great job repairing my shoulder (Torn bicep tendon and labrum). I was given a number of options on how to deal with my shoulder issue, which I greatly appreciated. All of my questions were answered (I had a lot of them) All at EmergeOrtho surgery and their PT group were pleasant and skilled. Highly recommended.
No one wants to have a broken shoulder. I certainly didn't. But Dr. Boykin and his staff at Emerge Ortho Blue Ridge made the process of healing as smooth as possible. My injury was complex, but I was dealt with honestly, kept appraised of my condition and progress at every step of the way, from my first consultation visit, through surgery (I was asleep, but my wife was periodically updated) and all throughout the lengthy recovery period.
