Review for Riverside Veterinary Hospital I lost my 13-year-old dog, Zazu, after he went without his phenobarbital because his refill was not provided in time. He suffered an hour of seizures before passing. What hurts the most is reading the hospital’s own records—they tracked exactly when his prescriptions should have been refilled, yet never once called, emailed, or texted to remind me. Not once. First experience but will not be our last. They saw us as a walk in when our vet of over 13 years turned us away in an emergency situation. The staff and Doctor were caring, compassionate, thorough, and efficient. The cost was extremely reasonable for emergency services and they were up front with costs and treatment plan.
I moved to Rocky Mount a year and a half ago and have been taking my two senior pups, Peanut and Milo, to Riverside for regular vet visits, treatments, surgery and boarding ever since. The staff is extremely friendly and it shows how much they care for the animals in their care. I’m glad I found them and highly recommend them!
Hey I would like to leave a review for the grooming department. I was there on Wednesday, June 6, 2025, and left my dog there for a bath and hair cut. I was very disappointed with my dog hair cut so I took him back the next day for a re-cut. I was still not happy with it. My dog was brought to me with hair all on his nose and face like they just cut it before I got him. The leash was on him backward and upside down.
