I have been staying at morningside inn when I travel to New York for about eight years. I absolutely love it here. Patrick, the manager, is awesome and always takes great care of us. Wendy is also wonderful. I would and do recommend this place to anyone going to New York. It is affordable and right by a subway stop that takes you to downtown. The neighborhood is great and you are blocks away from Riverside park, a great place for a run.

People were very helpful over the phone when I called prior to my arrival. I was greeted in a friendly manner at my arrival. Would highly recommend.

If you are looking for just a place to spend the night, this hotel is perfect as it is very affordable. The room had a mini fridge which came in very handy. This hotel is also a hostel and they have rooms with a shared bathroom, so if you don't want to share a bathroom make sure you request a room with a private bathroom when making your reservation. Everything was very clean and staff was friendly... I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was great, I had read some horrible things about it but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised, the room was clean, as was the private bathroom. I felt safe at night in the area around the subway stop. I am a single female and I had no worries about feeling safe. No bedbugs, and everything was in perfect working order, I would gladly stay here again

The room was clean. Bathroom had hot showers and didn't ever have to wait more than 5 minutes for one if them to open up. There are a number of local restaurants near by and a couple minutes walk to metro. We enjoyed having a light breakfast at Absolute Bagel which is just right around the corner. Great bagels and very popular with the locals.
