The absolute best Italian I've ever had. A must visit. I've eaten there 2 times and the owner came out both times and greater all the guests in the restaurant. Chic parm is to die for. Home made sauce is out of this world!
A must visit every time I am in Washington DC. Vittorio and his staff always provide great service and the food is to die for.
We discovered La Perla on a trip to DC when my wife introduced me to her favorite hotel, The Melrose. As we walked down the street, We found La Perla only a block away and decided that we should give it a try. Since then, if we are in DC and if we stay at the Melrose, it's probably going to be dinner at La Perla. My expertise of what is authentic Italian comes from attempting many recipes of Marcela Hazan, and as far as I can tell, LaPerla is the real deal.
