Iu north is one of the best hospitals in the state! Saxony ranks high as well. Good service and really awesome nurses.
Herniated a disc in my back doing dishes after dinner Sunday night (hello old age) and by 2 am it was evident I needed something to help with crazy pain. Got to the ED around 2:45 am...took my name, got me back to a room, nurse came in to assess (and he was great), And saw Dr. Rose in well under an hour from start to finish. Made care decisions, started interventions, waited to see how they were helping, and was back at home by 6:15 am. I always recommend heading to IU North! Had my second son here an I couldn't be more happy with the nurses an docs. Everyone was so nice to us.

I have been to IU North ER several times in the last seventeen months, not as a patient, but as what turned out to be a patient advocate for those I have brought in for care. Three times for my father who suffers from dementia and once for my neighbor who was in the midst of a heart attack requiring a by-pass. My neighbor, on his knees, doubled over in pain on the ER waiting room floor had been having chest pains for over a hour when I was able to convince him to seek medical attention. As a first time mommy i had a terrible fear of childbirth and the staff and nurses all made it the best experience and the most comfortable ive ever ever had. Thank you all for making such a large impact on the most important day of my life. Me and my babygirl thank you from our hearts!
