RecommendedThe wife and I welcomed our first child into the world today. Being first time parents we were a little nervous, that being said I would like to thank all the nurses and staff for making this day special for us. I would recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a place to give birth.
ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF So I had surgery on Monday (repaired 2 hernias/removed gallbladder). So the first day was in immense pain. Something didn’t feel right and I had the nurses come in to take my blood pressure bc I had a headache (my tell tell that it’s high). Turns out it was in the 160s. The pain meds weren’t working all day, and they refused to give me my blood pressure meds (on the prescribed list. Just got home from the emergency room with my son. Spent 3 hrs there. Checked in with the triage nurse Melissa. She was an absolute nasty witch. My son was there because he was having terrible pain in his testicle. He could barely walk. My husband had to wheel him in a wheelchair. She told him to stand up. He said I can’t. She said then we can’t treat you if we can’t get your weight. The next pt comes in and she’s in a wheelchair. She said well she might have a fractured hip. Omg. Let me introduce you all to Maya Jo Oviedo. Our angel was brought into this world on April 25, 2019 at a whopping 6lbs 10oz. After 48 hours in NICU, our little champion was discharged with mommy and we were all able to go home as a family. We feel very very lucky. IU North, with all of their amazing nurses and doctors, was the best possible place we could've been. We couldn't be more grateful and appreciative of them! Thank you to all of our friends and family for all of the love and support! 💗💗💗
We are currently visiting the Riley Hematology Oncology Clinic regularly for outpatient infusions. We couldn't be happier!! Everyone has been so nice and the clinic is so efficient and accommodating. They have helped make an unpleasant experience pleasant!
Parking is ridiculous! It’s pouring down rain & I’ve got a 2 month old with me trying to running into the pharmacy. There are 5 spots for expectant moms (which they 100% deserve), not parking for those with babies/small child and no pharmacy parking! Absolutely horrible for such a facility. I left without ever parking and getting my prescription bcuz I’m not subjecting an infant to getting soaked for a 2 minute trip inside. Guess it’s time to take my business to another pharmacy.
I had a wonderful experience giving birth to my daughter here! The rooms and facility are beautiful, the food is delicious and I absolutely loved my doctors, nurses and other hospital support staff. I highly recommend this hospital!
I had an excellent experience at IU north hospital when I had my baby girl in December. The staff especially the nurses were so caring and helpful in all aspects. Special thanks to Julie, my labor and delivery nurse. The birth was somewhat traumatic and unexpected but you being there and coaching me made it much easier!
