Riley Hospital is one of the best hospital in the state of Indiana
In my opinion, it is not a good practice for a hospital to choose to have a child struggle at school with damaged glasses for 3 months rather than share the last eye prescription so she can at least have an undamaged pair of glasses when school starts. This is the 2nd time that I have encountered a questionable decision made at Riley Children's Hospital.
My Sister was in out of this Hospital when I was younger. I donate as much as I can when someone asks at any store or gas station.
When our son broke his arm, we Ended up at Riley downtown because there are no on call ortho docs at IU health/Riley North where we started our evening. The Chief ortho resident at Riley, however, needs to check his ego, work on his communication skills & realize that giving people a chance to make an educated choice is better received than ordering them around. Also, a Children's Hospital with no waterproof cast option in the middle of summer & only 3 cast color options is Very disappointing. When you have a 'hopefully' onc... read more
A few years ago I would have given genetics a 5 star. (Opthalmology is phenomenal!) The last two years our appointment has been canceled in June. The department swears they sent out a phone call with their automated system. Our doctor pretty much said....our case isn't important enough and we can wait until November of this year to be seen. So my child will have to miss school. I asked a question regarding some new information and wanted a phone call back. My child IS important as well. My child IS doing great, but that does... read more
I was at Riley the very first day of my life. Had surgery the very second day. I'm 23 years old, and still visit annually. I'm so happy God has placed me here. When I was younger I had some very scary moments here, but I'm so blessed to be a healthy man now! Thank you Riley. So glad Jesus brought me here.
When our now 3 yr old was 3 months old he was transferred to Riley's with an ecoli infection and kidney infection. We spent about a week there before they discovered he was also suffering from Kawasaki's disease. They were very persistent in finding out why he wasn't getting better from antibiotics and we are so thankful they were able to figure out before it affected his heart. We loved every single doctor and nurse we worked with and they accommodated us staying in the room with our son 24/7 so we could hold him and feed h... read more
A great big thank you to the doctors, nurses, & staff at Riley Hospital For Children--especially the teams in the O.R., recovery unit, & unit 8E for taking wonderful care of my youngest daughter during her spinal fusion surgery & initial recovery over this past week! You guys we're an awesome blessing for her & the rest of our family!
The people that work at this hospital are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. These employees amaze me with their skill & empathy more & more every second.
