Dr. Richard Ostrup was a highly recommended referral for my degenerative spondylolisthesis. I was experiencing severe pain & losing the ability to walk & use my legs. Dr. Ostrup performed a laminectory spondylolisthesis. My pain is gone & I am now able to walk without a walker or a cane & am not in need of pain medication. Dr. Ostrup is an exceptional neurosurgeon who is realistic and compassionate. His practice manager, Erica is remarkably kind & proficient.

An outstanding physician with blessed hands and great bed side manner. My husband got in a motorcycle accident March 3, 2016 which as a result left him with C1 C2 fracture. Dr. Ostrup performed a spinal fusion which thanks to him and God he is alive today. I would defiantly take my mom to Dr. OSTRUP if she ever needed too and that sayshe enough.

Dr Ostrup performed a three level cervical fusion on me in a five hour surgery. To my surprise I was ready to go home the next day and Dr Ostrup concurred. Since then I have only taken probably five of the prescribed pain pills and an occasioal Tylenol. Excellent results. Great surgeon. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Ostrup is an amazing surgeon. I was in a trauma situation and was a little apprehensive as anyone would be wondering who would be performing my surgery. I am so happy it was Dr. Ostrup! He was kind and patient with my wife and I through the entire process from pre-surgery options, to the actual surgery, and at all our follow-up visits. He was also very thorough and professional in my treatment. I am certainly grateful he was my surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Ostrup was courteous, informative, with absolutely no pressure and provided me with some surgery options. After having the surgery I am able to honestly say that I am pain free and have resumed my normal activities that I was doing before the surgery. If you are experiencing that chronic pain that just won't go away you will understand what a relief (miracle) it feels like to be normal once again. I am very grateful to Dr. Ostrup for the great work he did in giving me my life back.

My first visit I was told that if I was ready for surgery he would go ahead and schedule me. On my second visit after complaining of excruciating pain, he advised me against ACDF procedure. Then told me he would provide other surgeons for second opinion. I never got that neither. Physicians, you all took an oath to heal those who are ailing.

I was so fortunate to have Dr Ostrup as my surgeon. He explained everything to me in such a way that I was at ease and not nervous at all. My surgery was an emergency. I had a malignant tumor that was compressing on my spinal cord. My surgery was a success and I owe this to Dr Ostrup. He is a very compassionate an cares about his patients.
