I pay my bill, always, either on time or early and it means nothing to them. My cans are continuously being confiscated in place of my neighbors. This time when I called I was told they would not be returning them until the next trash day. 7 days later! UNACCEPTABLE! Sure wish we had a choice for waste service. The employees who pick up our waste are awesome. I am currently and have been on hold for 35 minutes with the National Call Center, which is the only option for contacting Republic. This will be my third call trying to get a bin so that we can recycle glass. The first two calls I was told there wasn't glass recycle in my area. After continuing to see neighbors who had recycle containers I called again and am now holding for 37 minutes - HORRIBLE customer service.
It would certainly be nice to have a LOCAL number for LOCAL service. A simple question seems to be beyond the customer service folks. Even a trip into the Corvallis office was less than helpful. I guess when you have a monopoly and are the only game in town that just happens.
Over 1 HOUR and 20 minutes on hold and they are supposed to be open for another 25 minutes
My dad was a customer, he passed away. I settled his account in full and I also rented a large dumpster from Republic Services to clean up his estate. This bill was also paid in full. After some time I get a late notice on an invoice for the dumpster! I call up and after a while the person realizes that they made a mistake and applied my dumpster payment as a credit to his personal garbage service. She says, no problem we will take care of it. I have not gotten 2 rock chips and a huge crack from the trucks kicking up rocks. When I called they said I am on my own. Really? Terrible way to resolve this issue.
They do an almost perfect job of picking up garbage, but WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE YOUR GLASS PICKUP DAY? I can't find any mention of glass pickup on the website. I'll just have to toss it in the garbage.
