This place had great staff and good food but it was very expensive for what it is. Portion sizes weren't the best. It is a big open space. My only complaint is the pricing on everything a whiskey and ginger shouldn't be $10....ever!
Drinks are very expensive while not matching the quality of equivalent places . Most of the food was good, but like Dino, the Italian restaurant on 9th Street, an awfully complicated menu.
I've never had bad food at Republic. While I'm not vegan, the rest of my family is, and they always have a vegan entree, and can make other items vegan upon request. I had the soft shelled crab special, and it was fabulous!
For some reason the food on the bar menu is more expensive than the regular menu. Also the happy hour wine can be more expensive than some of the regular price wines. All of this is just shady, will not return again!
I enjoyed everything about it. They even had different Claims on the halfselves, fried oysters and fried green tomatoes .Omg delicious. The bartender Julian made me feel welcomed. I will definitely be back .

My favorite restaurant on the planet! Menu is seasonal and always something new to try, including specials. Service is always exceptional and staff is super attentive and friendly. I adore TKPK as well. I haven't found another place that I love this much!
