I was once a fan of Marriott, but when you book two months in advance, pre-paid, and a snotty desk clerk appears to be happy to tell you that your reservation was canceled without your knowledge and that they are "-6" on rooms, meaning they are in the practice of overbooking, and the manager won't even talk to you in person. (Lynette Downie). At the end of a long journey, arriving in strange territory, the last place you want to be is the Renaissance downtown Columbus.
Rooms are nice and comfortable. Parking situation was a nightmare! I was at the hotel with a very large group and we all checked out before our last gathering. We all departed at the same time. Getting car and luggage to leave was a nightmare. I would not recommend this hotel for a large event.

Attended for work conference. Staff was very nice and worked hard. I just hate how they keep temperauture to cold wore nearly three layers of clothing. Otherwise everything else was satifactory from food, snacks and beverages
Went for a work conference and it was amazing. Every employee was very cordial and right there for any request.
I gave it two stars because I do not want to say I liked it. I stayed for a wedding. It was noisy I could heard the other rooms, people in the halls and their elevators were slow as hell. We were competing for space on said elevators with delivery people and the staff who did not defer to guests. The restaurant in the lobby was meh. Pancakes were hard, waffles non existent and waiter seemed to want us to rush out. He dropped the check and came back for it a couple times lol . We were not rushing and they were not busy. it was a great stay. loves the amenities. had valet parking. which was great.offered to take luggage up to room.
Loved the free coffee. Friendly staff. Access to food.
