Sent to our room upon check-in to a dirty, unmade room. Went back to front desk and was given a new room. New room was smaller and still not completely clean (small trash on the floor, bathroom mirror dirty, etc.). The next day we left our room at 9:30AM, returned at 4:30PM and the room was unmade. Went to the front desk and asked them to have it cleaned. Ten minutes later the room was "done"...no way it gets cleaned in ten minutes! Now, two days later both my wife and I have had a 24 hour stomach bug...coincidence...maybe..... read more
When we were sent to our room after check in it had not yet been cleaned from the prior visitor- unacceptable. We went back down and waited in line again to get another room. The next day after returning at about 4:30pm our new room was ALSO still unmade- ridiculous. There was no offer in any way to make up for these inconveniences. I wouldn't return.

Definitely a great option to consider if visiting Boston. The gym is well appointed (e.g., 7 treadmills and a lap pool), staff is very helpful, rooms large, and restaurant and bar very enjoyable. The Fort Point area has lots of nice sites and restaurants
Stayed @ Renaissance Boston Waterfront overnight for a work related event. I checked-out leaving my computer mouse and mouse pad behind. After returning home, I realized the items were missing. Upon phoning the hotel, I was promptly directed to the lost and found department. My items were located and shipped via FedEx to my home. Thank you to the remarkable Renaissance staff for your honesty and fabulous customer service! I stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon just this weekend. The staff were beyond amazing. Everything was perfect. The food was exquisite. The service was impeccable. We loved it so much that we plan on coming back for every anniversary. Needless to say, we both highly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Close to everything but no parking... You have to park in a $25 a day garage around the corner.
