Specialties Refuge is America's first co-ed outdoor relaxation spa and an award-winning hydrothermal facility located in Carmel, California. Our serene and silent 2-acre property features a Himalayan salt wall sauna, eucalyptus steam rooms, cold plunge pools, hot pools with waterfalls, and breathtaking views. You must be 18 years or older to visit. Swimsuits are required. Daily Hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm PST. Last entry is 8:30 pm PST.

Saturday was our 2nd visit and we brought some friends from out of state. It was an amazingly warm and sunny day after many weeks of cold wet days! We all got massages (mine with Jessica, who was GREAT!) and decided they were some of the best massages we have had! Those in conjunction with the steam and hot and cold plunge left us all rejuvenated! Our anniversary is in Feb and we plan to go again then! This is a must do for any visitors!
A wonderful experience any day. Going to the refuge always so relaxing and makes it special day whether you were just going to the pools or enjoying a wonderful massage.
A wonderful place to melt your cares away. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly.
