Ate there with my husband last night on one of our very seldom date nights, and drove 45 mins to get there. Place wasn't busy at all so we were seated quickly and got drinks quickly. We ordered the Ugly Steak and a Filet Minon....one medium rare and the other medium. Got our food quickly, but the steaks were both well done. We never even had the chance to complain because we didn't see our waitress for refills or to ask for steak sauce the rest of our meal. I have been a server, and that is just poor service. Very enjoyable place to go for dinner or even just an evening trip for pie and coffee.
Out waitress was really nice and friendly, did a great job. The last time I was here I had a mushroom and Swiss burger that was one of the best burgers I had ever ate. They don't have it on the menu anymore. I had a Cheeseburger and for some reason it wasn't great, only okay, and can't really figure out why....
I honestly really love the red ox, it has amazing food and the service is great!! Definitely a place to visit with friends and family!
A Macomb tradition for almost half a century. The best steaks and dinners in the area.
Wonderful food and staff!! We enjoyed all of it!!!
Service was not the greatest, food was decent but didn't not ever receive our appetizer.
