Recording Workshop (RECW) is a music recording school. Founded in 1977, we are the industry leader in HANDS-ON training. Our programs are short-term (5-7 weeks), very intense and creative. Our students come from all over the world to learn professional methods of tracking, mixing and producing music in the studio. We have a great private campus, with well-equipped studios and very affordable on-campus housing.

I went to early spring 2018, core and advanced. The instructors are knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and over all great teachers as well as people. If you are passionate about music, no matter how much experience you have, the recording workshop is THE place to be!!!!
The price was right, I enjoyed every day and when I graduated they hooked me up at a studio in Nashville that needed an assistant. You can't ask for more. If you have a passion for recording, this is your school.
I am an alumni of The Recording Workshop class of 1995 and have worked as a professional audio engineer ever since completing the course. If you are looking for a course to teach you the right skills to launch into an audio engineering career you can rest assured that this is an excellent program that will train you to succeed in the industry. Unlike some of the other recording schools, the no-nonsense and realistic approach are a great asset to getting off on the right foot. And, it was a fun time to boot!
