Recording Workshop (RECW) is a music recording school. Founded in 1977, we are the industry leader in HANDS-ON training. Our programs are short-term (5-7 weeks), very intense and creative. Our students come from all over the world to learn professional methods of tracking, mixing and producing music in the studio. We have a great private campus, with well-equipped studios and very affordable on-campus housing.

Always a great staff and the students are always fun to work with. Been recording (and learning) for too many years to mention (eehhhmmm 1989 was the first time there). To many great memories to list in this space! Well worth the time and money for learning the art of recording!
I'm about to wrap up the Core program (January 2019) and I am astonished at how much I have learned in such a short time-- and it's the kind of knowledge that feels like I've always known it. The Dunk-tank method of imparting info and skills certainly works and I've learned nearly as much from my fellow students as my teachers. Top marks! I can't wait to get back to work.
