Peyton is, by far, the most arrogant, self-serving, mean-spirited physician I have ever met. He has the bedside manner of a badger and acts likes he is resentful of the time he has to waste with his patients. He is more concerned about liability than health and well-being. I need hip replacement surgery, like yesterday. But, I would never consider going back to his practice. Rather, I will postpone surgery to find another doctor that does not exude narcissism! Arthritis and Sports...stay away
This office is a thief. They give you inaccurate information. They tell you something is covered and in fact is not. Be very careful you don't fall into their trap. Don't rely on them and make sure you double check all the information they give you.
Yes you may have to wait past your appointment time but once there Dr Peyton always takes his time to explain and answer questions. He is always welcoming and yet to the point which is something I value. Follow up is with Edwin who is very capable. If you must see the main dr every time then this system might not be for you. I personally prefer to know the whole team. Dr P corrected a leg length from a previous hip replacement (at a well know clinic) and rocked my world!
Dr. Peyton did a great job with my total hip replacement and I'm going in for the other side soon. I agree with other reviewers in that he was not there much after the surgery, but his PA's are excellent and were willing to answer any questions I had. Dr. Peyton answered all of my questions and gave me a lot of reassurance leading up to the surgery and on the day of surgery. He's the guy you want if you need a hip replacement!
He is the BEST I have referred 3 friends who needed procedures and they also were very happy with Dr Peyton. His staff is awesome and the gold star of professionalism.
If you are looking for a doctor that cares enough about post surgery progress do not see this doctor. I was heavily over medicated and never once did my family get a call from Dr. Peyton (after many calls to ask him questions) to explain or show any concern. Very disappointed with his after surgery care. A PA or hospital nurse at Reston Hospital is not acceptable. Reston Hospital does not have a staff you can feel comfortable leaving a patient on narcotics. My husband had to spend the night.
I waited an hour for a five minute consultation with him. He never told me what was his diagnosis was about my shoulder. I had to ask the person giving my injection.
Dr Peyton is a very compassionate Doctor. He puts your mind at ease as you go through the process of surgery, He listens to all your questions and gives his recommendations both clearly and concise
