The McMenamin brothers have made millions converting old elementary schools, nursing homes and pig farms into fun bars with good food and micro brews. This unique place is little more than the bottom floor of an old warehouse. Tables outside are on the sidewalk, while the inside is below ground level and features a large bar. Great service, but the ahi tuna sandwich I ordered left something to be desired. The fish itself was very good, but was served on a hamburger bun. It ended up soggy half way through the meal. Otherwise a great experience, as with most McMenamins establishments!
We used to like it but made the mistake of ordering without looking at the menu. We ordered our favorite truffle FRIES w/ garlic aioli as an appetizer but since you changed to "shoe string frites" and charge $1 to substitute a side salad or soup (and don't offer tots anymore unless you ask) we won't be back for a while, if at all. The food came quickly but had to ask for our bill.
Wonderful food, the Moroccan coffee was delicious. Very laid back friendly atmosphere. Very friendly. Willing and ready to answer any and all questions and to accommodate. Will be going back again! Display as a month if you enjoy good drinks good food and a relaxed quiet atmosphere and in A McMenamins Pub.
The atmosphere in this McMenamins is fabulous. There is so much to see. The menu has a fun variety of treats and beverages and the staff are always friendly and hip.
Love the "Rams Head" a great place to rest, eat a meal and drink with friends while shopping!
