The McMenamin brothers have made millions converting old elementary schools, nursing homes and pig farms into fun bars with good food and micro brews. This unique place is little more than the bottom floor of an old warehouse. Tables outside are on the sidewalk, while the inside is below ground level and features a large bar. This place is awesome!! They didn't even mind my wife resting on the comfy couch for a bit... while I drank some delicious beers and watched the TV. We'll definitely go back!

I had the pig and pickle for lunch which was perfect. But at 2:00 they were busy and had only one server. And the music was way loud. Otherwise, it very much lived up to my expectations.

McMenamins are always comfortable and the food is first rate. We stopped in to the Rams Head the other night for a quick beer and dessert. The wait staff was pleasant and appropriately attentive. The beer was good (IPAs pair well with most desserts in our humble opinions) and the dessert, a passionfruit custard on shortcake with strawberries and whipped cream, was excellent.
