My previous gastroenterologist retired, and I’m now seeing Dr. Samavedy. I was skeptical at first about having to change doctors, but not anymore. Dr. Samavedy meets all of my expectations. He is knowledgeable, thorough, great at explanations, and has excellent bedside manner. His staff is extremely knowledgeable, considerate, and accommodating.

Dr. Samavedy saved my life! After having a ERCP at another hospital where a sphincterotomy was also performed the doctor who performed the procedure did not stop the bleeding completely. I had already spent 9 days at the other hospital and was assured when I left the bleeding had stopped. I was home 1 1/2 days when I began to bleed heavily. I went to UT where Dr. Samavedy took over. It took 3 procedures but he did get the bleeding stopped. He explained everything to me & my family thoroughly.
After 24 years of being in a doctor's care, for extreme GERD, that only treated my symptoms, Dr. Samavedy, ran the appropriate tests and got me into a surgeon. After 24 years, I'm finally heartburn free and the cellular changes that took place in my esophagus have now been reversed!!!
