I found Dr. Mettu from an online search. I was nervous since it wasn't a personal referral. However, once I met him and his assistant I was very comfortable, was treated with respect and kindness, was given thorough information, my questions were answered, and I wasn't rushed. My procedure went very well and I am very pleased!

I saw Dr. Mettu for a second opinion. He does a thorough examination and explains his findings in easy to understand language. He advised me against surgery for my dropping eyelid as it was intermittent. He has a caring bedside manner that is rare in physicians today. I would wholeheartedly recommend him. I found his office staff pleasant and helpful.

I sought a second opinion with Dr. Mettu after another ophthalmologist said I needed a repeat bilateral blepharoplasty. My left eyelid was the worst, partially covering my pupil and greatly affecting my vision. Dr. Mettu actually advised a bilateral upper eyelid ptosis repair instead of the repeat bilateral blepharoplasty. I am totally delighted with the results! My vision has vastly improved. I sought out Dr. Mettu since I had seen him at his previous practice. I was exceptionally disappointed with the way the office manager spoke to me and the emphasis on the financial rather than treatment. When I asked to speak with Dr. Mettu, he came in and escorted me to the exit without allowing me to finish reading the finacial agreement or answering my questions or concerns. This leaves me without a doctor and extremely disappointed.

My elderly mother had a growth expanding rapidly under her eye. Dr. Mattu brought her his personal care and compassion that helped her and brought me piece of mind. I appreciate Dr. Mattu because I can talk to him directly and openly without the formality of uncaring gatekeepers. He sets the best example of what a doctor-patient relationship should be.

I had a great experience with Dr Mettu. I went to see him with a list of questions and concerns and he listened and answered every single one of them. He has great hands. The results were so natural that not one person noticed a change. Yes, I would go back to him again!
