A B.Y.O.B. with eminently satisfying Italian fare. – In Short On a pavement peninsula bordering Northern Liberties and Old City, shiny glass windows and walls painted in oranges and yellows set a cozy scene. Couples waiting for tables--seating is first come, first served--linger on the sidewalk, wine bottles in hand. Italian fare that is so uttely straightforward, but so updated. Generous entrees--a bowl of rich penne with crabmeat topped with fresh aurgula and tomatoes and a perfectly filleted, are immensely satisfying.

They work late......so good – In the afternoon youll see business casual adults dining outside and at night you'd kill for parking but its worth it. The food is excellent. My cousin lives two doors down and knows the owner, who graciously cooked up some amazing lobster raviolli at 2am as he was cleaning for the night. Great food and great people!

Rude & Loud – Well, this place used to be good. It's sad that it has turned into what it is today. The staff rushes you through dinner so they can seat the people waiting for a table. There is no place for these people to wait though, so they stand around the front area near the tables. The food is pretty good but I'll never be going back here. It is overpriced, noisy and worst of all, the staff is extremely rude. Not recommended at all.

Noisy but Good – This small BYO becomes very noisy, to the point of not being able to have much of a conversation at your table (we were a party of 4 on a Saturday night). The no reservation policy works well for the owners but for those waiting outside in the rain the night we were there, well Im sure they thought differently. The bruschetta was excellent, as were all the appetizers. The veal saltimbocca was just OK, the fish entree was good, but the soft shell crab special and the pounded veal chop were excellent. The staf... read more

bella, bella! – Fabulous experience overall! Our handsome waiter was knowledgeable in recomendations and ingredients, composed a five course meal for our group, and was very prompt in serving our many bottles of wine--this is a BYO, kids. Food cooked expertly from homemade pasta to the fish filleted tableside. Share your extra wine with the staff--both service and cuisine outstanding. We can't wait to return.

Best Italian in Philly! – My husband and I have been to many Italian restaurants not only in Philly but also in NYC, and Radicchio Cafe is our favorite. Food is straightforward and simply excellent. Our favorites are linguini del mare and penne granseola. Grilled calamari appetizer is also good. The dining room gets a little loud and crowded, but it's nice to see other people having a good time, too.

Squisito! – I have to confess that I have been to the Radicchio Cafe two Fridays in a row. It is excellent. I recommend the Crab Pasta dish. I also had the Radicchio Risto. Its BYOB which helps the pocket book. It got a little loud up but its al fresco and definitely worth the wait.

Memories of Italy – I visited Rome last summer and the food was incredible. Eating at the Radicchico Cafe brought back fond memories - the food is authentic and also incredible! Truly an international find - it is like dining in Italy. Ate there 8/14 - sooo good, I'm taking co-workers back today 8/15!

Leave the US for a couple of hours – Unbelievable service and impeccable quality food. I went there by chance and I came out as if I'd been to Italy for a couple of hours. Authentic cheeses, fresh shellfish salad, and the main course was a tasty Mediterranean Striped Bass delicately poached with herbs. The wait staff was truly concerned about the customers. And judging by the Italian spoken by the customers, this upscale Italian already has an expatriate clientele. My only criticism is that the tables are small to fit the su... read more
