I had to show the Employee at the deli how to make their own subs. Then went to the hot deli checkout line to find 2 employees complaining about another employee telling me "this lane is closed." No sign, nothing. I love Publix, but this particular one is looking more like Walmart.

Now that you asked ...I shall answer. As a young man I lived in Winter Haven Florida and Publix there and the one on South Florida avenue in Lakeland Florida were where we shopped. Went to school with the founders sons, but that is immaterial. I went with the express purpose of buying two subs. I got into line and the married Latino couple in front of me in line ordered their subs from a young lady with Red hair working the sub counter. Too many out of stocks. Saturday 9 am. Fish section empty, no meat loaf mix, some areas blocked by shelf stockers, insufficient check out personnel. This a recurring problem at this store.

This store has gone from mediocre to awful after they rearranged the store. In my latest saga, one employee sent me across the store in search for an item only to be walked all the way back by another, before a 3rd one told me it was not sold there anymore. I'm done with this store after being a customer for nearly 10 years

I used to love going to this Publix. For years it had been an example of friendly, courteous and efficient service. However, ever since the remodel, things have changed. The cashiers are still very friendly, but the sandwich station is a MESS. The flow is a disaster, they are slow, not friendly and seem so unhappy to be there. I avoid the deli meats are since they are usually backed up when I go there. Not everyone is an issue, but there's a different and not pleasant vibe when you go there now.

Today it was so crowded, was not the usual shopping experience! And since they rearranged the store, some real traffic bottlenecks exist and are a real pain.
