Opened in 1771 by Colonel Ebenezer Crafts, the Publick House Historic Inn offers a charming and historical stay. The inn was used during the American Revolution as a training ground for soldiers and rumor has it that George Washington even stopped by. My husband and I were there yesterday to celebrate his birthday. It was our first visit, but it won’t be our last! We ate in the Tap Room. The service was wonderful, the food was amazing and we were treated just like family!
Coming from few different directions made this an excellent distinction. Good company & good food made it a perfect Sunday night out.
I cannot begin to express how thrilled I am with the Publick House! My husband and I were married there February 2018 and from the beginning of planning until the very end, the staff went above and beyond making sure everything was exactly as we wanted. We had a wonderful lunch Sunday as always. We met good friend at this midway point for both of us.
Bravo! Great food. Ate dinner hear three nights in a row. If you come hungry, get the Thanksgiving Dinner. You will leave stuffed.
The meeting room was cozy and the food was good. Waitress not so much. We had to fill out our own menu's that she just collected and two orders were still delivered to the wrong people. Did not come back to check on us after the food was delivered.
I just had my wedding here Sunday morning. The Publick house did absolutely amazing making sure everything ran smoothly. My reception was set up absolutely beautifully. The food was remarkable and the staff was friendly. A special thanks to Jonathan and Chris for coordinating our gender reveal as well and making it such a memorable moment. I would recommend this place to everyone! I can’t wait to spend every anniversary here ❤️
