Very poor. Never met the Dr. Extremely long wait for discharge papers( hours). Would never do back.
Wonderful hospital, everyone is very kind!! I will never forget their kindness.
I was at Providence because my mother had a total hip replacement service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I walked in the front entrance, I spoke to JD at Guest Services. My brother and mother arrived about 5 mins ahead of me. JD said my mother was in the restroom. Instead of leaving it at that, he said: "I need to go check on her." I went to the emergency room today and they stole my wife's purse n even though we have video of that animal nothing was done and our mortgage payment was taken. Security cameras are not reliable and we were told nothing was going to be done.
I have now had surgery at every hospital 8n Columbia. So far Jane and I have been spoiled rotten. The food is the best I have had at any hospital. Last night I had Shrimp Linguine w/broccoli Yesterday for lunch I had Tilapia w/cous-cous. This morning I am having an omelet. No one wants bad food when they feel physically bad. It was by far better then Palmetto Richland. More organized quicker and the physicians were kinder and explained everything. Now I know for trauma cases Richland is needed. But for all other Emergency issues ( not colds) everyone should really think providence. At Richland a lot of the time is taken up with interns that have to go back to physicians to sign off on there work. And providence is cleaner
