My inspector failed to point out that the plumbing in the home was polybutylene pipes. Polybutylene pipes are known to cause major plumbing disasters. The pipes are uncovered and clearly visable, yet they were not notated on my inspection report. My realtor reached out to the owner of ProTech. He promised to call me to arrange a date & time to inspect again. I never received this call. Jennifer, you are absolutely correct, polybutylene plumbing pipes have a documented history of failure. I am sorry that after talking with you by phone and reviewing the plumbing section in the report where it states you have polybutylene type plastic plumbing supply pipes you are still disappointed. This company inspected my home. The inspector left dirty hand prints on my light switches and foot prints on my floor. I found attic insulation on the floor. The inspector tested my Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom by simulating a ground fault. He was unable to reset the circuit and had to ask me how. I have been unable to reset it and the company is being very hands off in trying to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, as we discussed on the phone, a missing GFCI reset for your hydro massage tub is a defect no different from the other defects that were found for the potential buyer.
