I had surgery for a shoulder replacement on 10/12. My surgeon had ordered a nurse to come change my bandage, an OT to make sure that I was doing my exercises correctly and a home health aide. I nixed the home health aide. Pro Health nursing had called me a week ahead of time(Cecilia), she had told me that I needed to set up their services and that also while I was at the surgery center to take as many bandages as I could find because they run out. The owner runs a scam. She tells the home health aide and nurse that the insurance is not paying and they will discharge the patient. She is really trying to get the patient’s family to pay her directly. I have provided all supporting documentation as requested by UHCMedicare plan but she refuses to send it to the appeals office. I have at services for the past Five months Cheryl, the physical therapist, Gabriel, the occupational therapist assistant, Allison, the occupational therapist, and Gene, the Supervising nurse, are the best! They are always professional, kind, and upbeat. Steve has been good at handling issues I've had Promptly.
This agency is horribly run. They lie to patients about scheduling medical staff to visit. They are minimally staffed so if a nurse or therapist calls in sick they have no alternative staff to fill in. As a result, they often leave patients without any critically needed care. If I could leave a rating of zero I would as that is what they truly deserve.
One star is too much. This place, hands down, is the nightmare of all home health care service providers. If it could be done wrong, they did it. They didn't send out caregivers, the caregivers called but didn't show. Only the PT people showed, and even they stopped coming. After a month they told us they weren't going to be able to provide services to us, and notified the doctor we had REFUSED services. Run screaming from these people.
