BAD Company The owner is a THIEF! He is a dumb jerk and pompass A** Shady company so stay away. They take your deposit and make things up so they can keep it!
DO NOT RENT FROM PPM!!! I unfortunately did not read the reviews on PPM before renting my apartment (Creekside Drive Condos in Cedar Rapids). Upon moving in we had so many maintenance and other issues. For starters, we didn't get a mailbox key until having lived there for 2 weeks. And as of right now, we STILL don't have a garage door opener (we've been in our place for over a month now). Best InTown I am very happy with this company. I used to rent from them and then the building I was in got sold. The new owners took it somewhere else for services. The new ompany was so horrible that when my lease was up I went back to Preferred and rented another property from them.
Horrible Place of Business Preferred Property Management is a joke. They never return calls, they were suppose to fix a hole in the wall within two weeks of us moving in, a year later when moving out, hole still there. Then after us clearly marking it on our move in inspection, they charged it to us against our security deposit and it was there prior to us moving in. Stay away from preferred. I lived in one of PPM's property's for a year and half, during that time they lost my payment once (until I showed them the electronic receipt). At the end of each lease period they either make you sign another lease, or hike your rent up by a hundred dollars or more. They lost a lease extension that I personally turned into the office(until once again I showed them my copy of the paperwork). Slumlords and Crooks These guys are crooks. We have had 4 managers for us in 1.5 years. They cannot keep employees. They lie, the have no idea what the fair housing act is for people with disabilities. Crooked, Crooked Crooked. They are slumlords
Watch Out...They Will Get You! Watch out this company is VERY shady...they also promise alot and DO NOT folow through...stay away from these guys and Equity. Your best bet is to find a independantly owned complex if you are wanting to rent. PROS: None CONS: They are Cons
Want to Live in a Dump? Then Miller Avenue Apartments near Kirkwood would be the place to go. Commons area is constantly trashed, halls are dark and filthy, apartments leave a lot to be desired. Be smart and watch what they are charging you for! I give them a two thumbs down and a lot to be desired. Don't fall for the tuition line .... they need to upgrade their property and then they would get tenants to fill the place and tenants that would stay and fulfill their leases. fedupwith Shysters!Take your application fee of $30,do not tell you that they need deposit right away even though they are told you have it plus month's rent.Tell you the only dogs they do not allow are pit bulls.Then they turn around and say they rented to someone else who paid everything up front and add that they don't allow aggressive dogs.They need to get together on what their rules are and also quit lying about other things.
