The service in the dining room for lunch was deplorable due to management not having adequate staffing. We had an hour lunch and were served 45 minutes later with wrong orders... 1st time I didn't leave a tip which I felt bad about but service was inexcusable due to 2 seminars going on.
Place was pretty but the service was Awful. After asking for a cup of coffee at least 10 times, the server finally acknowledged and brought me a cup as the event ended. No one at the two adjoining tables that I could see were ever served coffee at all. I'm sure the hosts paid for that coffee. Also, we counted upwards of 60+ glasses on the table at one time. The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel is a place filled with kind people, cleanliness, delicious breakfast buffets and beautiful rooms. We stayed there over night for a wedding we attended at the Grand View. Geri~ Carmel, NY
