After we got sat and I started reading a few of the reviews, I was worried about the service and the food. But the service was friendly and the food was great. The Chunky Pot Roast was spot on. And when the yeast rolls are hot out of the oven, they actually have someone walking through the dining room throwing them to the diners!! My family and I have been going to this place for the last 10yrs but this was the last time I will ever set foot in this place again. Not only has the food been getting worse the last few times we have been in, but this time we were told there was a 15 min wait when there were at least 6 tables open. The worse service ever today. Waited for almost an hour for our food just to have the waiter come tell us he got confused and after an hour he just put in our order. After another 15 mins still no food so I went up to the cashier and paid $5.41 for 2 drinks with no apology or today. This visit shouldn't even get a star. Super pissed
When I first moved to Houston in 2007 I ate here. The food and staff alike were great. As time went on the food was just...well not that great, & portions got smaller with no decline in price. My family and I stopped eating here for over a year. We decided tonight to give them a shot. Yeah, mistake. They still have a great staff, but $54 dollars for 2 meals & a baked potato is just not worth it. Oh, and i was charged $4 because my son didn't order a meal, but ate a roll. Horrible service, food was disgusting!! Table was dirty, waitress didn't care if she was there. Not going again!
